Saltine Toffee Cookies with Weed Butter

If you want to make an easy crowd-pleasing edible, then today we’re making Saltine Toffee Cookies with Weed Butter.

The preparation for this is about 10 minutes (if that) and the taste? Out of this world without a doubt!

You will be using saltine crackers, cannabutter, sugar and some of your favourite toppings like chocolate chips to make these yummy weed edibles.

So let’s bake and get baked!


Ingredients Needed

Here’s a handy checklist to take with you to the grocery store or pantry at your house:

  • 1 box of Saltine Crackers
  • Brown sugar
  • Cannabutter (recipe below)
  • Himalayan salt (the pink stuff – cooking grade)
  • Chocolate chips, shredded coconut, crushed nuts, crushed candy canes, mini marshmallows or anything else you like!

Ingredients

  • 1/4 to 1/2 Ounce Cannabis 
  • 1 cup Butter

Instructions

  • Decarboxylate your weed by spreading your cannabis evenly on an oven tray And coat with aluminum foil.
  • Place in the oven on 240F/115C for 25 till 45 minutes, and then let it cool.
  • Grind your dry cannabis or chop it till fine.
  • Place the cannabis in a strong mason jar, add butter and (1 tsp of sunflower lecithin)(optional)
  • Place your closed jar in cold water and let it come to a boil, Boil for 2 to 3 hours.
  • Strain your butter through a cheesecloth.
  • Cool down
  • Now you can use the Cannabis Butter (Cannabutter)

Notes

If using a mason jar, be sure to start with cold water. Furthermore, it is imperative to let the water cool gradually so that your glass will not shatter.

Equipment

  • Parchment Paper
  • Cookie Sheet
  • Saucepan
  • Whisk
  • Spatula

Ingredients

  • 1 large package of Saltine Crackers have extra just in case
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup Cannabutter
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips, shredded coconut, crushed nuts, crushed candy canes or anything you love to top these with
  • 1 tbsp himalayan salt

Instructions

  • Pre heat the oven to 350
  • In the meantime, lay your cookie sheet with parchment paper, and place saltine crackers one by one, and side by side on the papered cookie sheet. tuck them neatly together but not overlapped. If one breaks, eat it and replace it on the sheet. Set aside.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt cannabutter and slowly fold in brown sugar. You may need to add a little more if the base is too buttery – just do it a tbsp at a time until you have a nice, thick consistency.
  • Once it's ready, pour it directly overtop the crackers. Using a spatula, spread it out over each cracker as best you can.
  • Place it in the oven for around 20 minutes until you see the toffee bubbling and brown, but not black and burnt.
  • Remove from oven, and sprinkle chocolate chips, crushed nuts, crushed candy cane, mini marshamallows,and most definitely sprinkle salt evenly over top!
  • Let it sit for about 10-15 minutes as it will lbe piping hot, and then break off pieces and enjoy!
