If you hate Brussel Sprouts, or just can’t seem to find a way to enjoy them, then you’re going to love our Roasted Brussel Sprouts With Cannabis Oil.
Seriously, you’re going to love these.
Coming from a bona fide Brussel Sprout hater, this recipe turned me around.
I can remember when I was young, we would travel to see our family in Holland.
I had a few favourite cousins who I’d always want to play with, and we would spend hours having the time our lives until…… dinner.
My Aunt would make Brussel Sprouts every.damn.time.
They way she made them was filthy! Just these boiled little balls of stinky-ness. No thanks!
I even remember one time, dropping the Brussel Sprouts into my shirt while she wasn’t looking, and then making the excuse that I had to use the washroom.
I ditched the sprouts into the toilet and flushed them away forever!
So please trust me here, when I say that this recipe is amazing.
Health Benefits of Brussel Sprouts
Each little sprout is loaded with wellness benefits like:
anti-oxidants
beta-carotene – just like carrots, great for your eyes!
lutein – a great anti-inflammatory, beneficial in eye-health and wellness
sulforaphane – a phytochemical which are said to be helpful in fighting off cancer
What Ingredients Will I Need?
This is simpler than you might think, and that’s the beauty of this weed edible recipe.
In my years of cooking, baking and experimenting in the kitchen, I’ve found simplicity to be the key ingredient.
Here’s a list of what you’ll need:
fresh Brussel Sprouts
Balsamic Vinegar
Raw honey – spruce it up with an infused honey with cloves or lavender!
Cannabis Oil – for drizzling and decadence!
How Do I Make Cannabis Oil?
If you make up a big batch of cannabis oil, you’ll have it for weeks and can make hundreds of tasty cannabis-infused recipes.
In a large bowl, put all of the washed Brussel Sprouts and drizzle with Cannabis Oil, salt & pepper.
In a separate bowl, mix up the Balsamic and honey until blended
Pour the Balsamic -honey blend over top of the Brussel Sprouts, and mix thouroughly until evenly coated.
Place sprouts on lined baking sheet, spreading them out evenly.
Put them into the oven, setting a timer for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, use a spatula or wooden spoon and gently rotate and mix the sprouts.
Place them back into the oven for another 15-20, and once you see the edges browning, insert a fork into the biggest one, make sure it's fully cooked and soft, and the outside is nice and brown or crisped. Serve immediately, and enjoy!
