Before you can even begin to create your masterpiece, you need to decarb.

And no, this doesn’t mean removing all carbs from your diet, if you haven’t experienced and tried decarboxylating your weed before, there’s no time like the present!

How To Decarb Your Weed

Watch this easy-to-follow video on how to decarb your weed.

It’s 100% essential to decarb before cooking or baking.

Why Do I Need To Decarb Weed?

Unfortunately for edibles, you can’t simply sprinkle your raw weed directly onto your foods as if it were salt or pepper.

Cannabis in its raw state isn’t psychoactive. Meaning you won’t get even a tickle of a high. No fun!

It is the process of decarboxylation that converts and activates cannabinoids to elicit a high.

Interestingly, decarboxylation is essentially the conversion of THCa into THC or CBDa into CBD.

Without decarbing your weed, THCa and CBDa will not fit into the endocannabinoid receptor sites in your body. Thusly, inhibiting the effects of cannabis that we’re after.

Many beginners make the mistake of not decarboxylating their weed.

Others do it incorrectly. It’s the most crucial step in the cooking process as a miss-step will result in a less potent, benign edible.

Skip it or forget it and you’ll have a weak product that lacks active cannabinoids.

Once you’ve mastered and practiced proper decarbing, you can begin to create the most tasty, wonderful weed recipes on the planet starting with:

  • Marijuana Leaf Shaped Waffle Machine
  • If you don't have the above, you can use a panini press or frying pan ( it just won't be as fun!)
  • Butter knife & plate

  • 4 Slices Sourdough Bread
  • 2-3 Slices Smoked Applewood Gouda
  • 2-3 Slices Cooked Bacon
  • 4 tbsp Cannabis Butter
  • 2 tbsp Fig Spread

  • Butter your bread with Cannabis Butter on all sides generously leaving some for just before you place it into the Mrijuana leaf-shaped waffle maker
  • Spread your fig preserve evenly on all slices
  • Slice up your cheese into nice thick 3 inch x 3 inch slices and place on one side of bread

  • Cook up your bacon – either in the pan or oven until it's the desired crisp you love. Pat it with a paper towel to remove excess grease and place onto bread – the cheese side. ( this starts the melting of the cheese just a little.. yum!)
    Assemble your sandwich now.

  • With the leftover Cannabis butter, spread a light layer on top AND on bottom of the outside of your sandwich. This will add a delicioius Cannabis crisp to your gourmet grilled cheese.
  • Your Marijuana Leaf-Shaped Waffle machine will let you know when it's all done.
If you're using a frying pan, you'll want to flip your grilled cheese every minute or so, and cook on a medium-low heat so it's doesn't burn fast.
  • Serve with chips, pickles or dip it in a spicy dip and enjoy!
