Halloumi Bowls With Cannabis and Couscous

Made with fluffy steamed couscous infused with cannabis oil, fresh lemon juice, and balanced with Halloumi (cheese) this healthy and hearty meal is a definite crowd-pleaser.

To make this dish even better, we’re adding honey and a rich robust tahini sauce that gets drizzled over the top of everything leaving you salivating for seconds.


What Ingredients Do I Need?

If you’ve never used Halloumi you are in for a treat. This type of cheese is a combination of sheep and goat’s milk cheese and it has a delicious, slightly salty taste, wonderful texture, and little squeak when you take a bite!

In addition to that, you’ll need:

  • Cannabis Oil (recipe below)
  • Couscous
  • Tahini
  • Mayo
  • Fresh garlic
  • Red onion
  • Baby tomatoes
  • Honey
  • Zucchini
  • Lemon
  • Parsley

The Recipe: Halloumi Bowls With Cannabis and Couscous

You’ll need a bunch of tools so get these ready before you start:

  • Baking Sheet
  • Medium Bowl
  • Measuring Spoons
  • Zester
  • Medium Pot
  • Parchment Paper
  • Measuring Cups
  • Whisk
  • Paper Towels

Ingredients

  • 1 block Halloumi Cheese
  • 1 cup dried Couscous
  • 4 tbsp Tahini
  • 4 tbsp Mayo
  • 1 tbsp freshly minced garlic
  • 1 whole red onion chopped into slices
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1 dash salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp Middle Eastern Spice Blend
  • 1 small Zucchini
  • 1 fresh lemon to zest and juice
  • 1 handful fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup Cannabis oil

Instructions

  • Pre heat oven to 450 degrees F
  • Cut onion into slices.
  • Rince Halloumi and paat dry with paper towel, then chop into small cubes.
  • Zest your lemon, and then squeeze out the rest of hte juice with a juisce or a spoon and set in a bowl seperately, and aisde.
  • Cut zucchini into 1/2 inch moons.
  • Prepare all of your veggies on a parchment line cookie sheet and drizzle liberally with Cannabis Oil, and spices.
  • Roast veggies for 12-14 minutes until softened.
  • Next, make the couscous – bring a medium pot with water to a boil. Once boiling add in your couscous and remove from heat, covered. Add parsley. Fluff with a fork before serving.
  • In a non stick pan, add cannabis oil and when the pan is hot fry the Halloumi until browned. Remove from heat, put into a bowl, and drizzle honey all over top and set aside.
  • Next, make the Lemon Tahini sauce by combining tahini, mayo, half the lemon juice, and all of the lemon zest, as well as a dash of salt and pepper. Set aside.
  • Remove veggies from stove. Add lemon juice and any pan juices from Halloumi into couscous.
  • Mix everything together on your plate or into one big pot, serve and highly enjoy!
