Baking With Cannabis
Baking with cannabis is a great way to get all the medicinal benefits without having to inhale.
It also allows you to experiment with different recipes and create tasty edibles that you love.
You will need to pick up your favorite strain of cannabis and if you go to a Dispensary, the Budtender can advise you what the best strain is for your desired high, outcome, and level.
How Easy Is It To Make Edibles?
Even if you’re not adept in the kitchen, making your own edibles can be simple and fun!
We’ve got some easy to follow recipes below and one thing to always keep in common is the “Marijuana Mantra”:
Dose LOW and SLOW.
Often times with edibles, the high doesn’t kick in until a few hours later for many. If you don’t feel anything right away, you need to give it a minute or 60 to see if it does. Do not over dose.
Simple Cannabis Recipes You Can Make at Home
There are so many wonderful recipes to use cannabis in, but we’ve got a great launching pad for you here:
Cannabutter
Cannabutter or weed butter is a staple in many edible recipes. Basically, wherever there is butter, replace it with cannabutter! It’s that simple.
You do need to follow the steps properly when making your first few batches of weed butter until you get the hang of things.
Always make sure you decarb first, and all of the instructions are below for you:
A recipe on how to make cannabis butter at home. After many cannabutter recipes, we find that this is by far the best way to infuse weed with butter.
Decarboxylate your weed by spreading your cannabis evenly on an oven tray And coat with aluminum foil.
Place in the oven on 240F/115C for 25 till 45 minutes, and then let it cool.
Grind your dry cannabis or chop it till fine.
Place the cannabis in a strong mason jar, add butter and (1 tsp of sunflower lecithin)(optional)
Place your closed jar in cold water and let it come to a boil, Boil for 2 to 3 hours.
Strain your butter through a cheesecloth.
Cool down
Now you can use the Cannabis Butter (Cannabutter)

If using a mason jar, be sure to start with cold water. Furthermore, it is imperative to let the water cool gradually so that your glass will not shatter.The video guide might be slightly different than the blog recipe. The blog recipe is the most updated and accurate.
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
Grease cookie sheets or line with parchment paper.
In a bowl sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
In a medium bowl, cream together the Cannabis butter, Normal butter, brown sugar and white sugar until well blended. Beat in the vanilla, egg, and egg yolk until light and creamy.
Mix in the sifted ingredients until just blended. Stir in the chocolate chips by hand using a wooden spoon.
Drop cookie dough 1/4 cup at a time onto the prepared cookie sheets. Cookies should be about 3 inches apart.
Bake for 15 to 17 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the edges are lightly toasted. Cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
