1. Pump Up The Protein

Hair is primarily made of protein so ensuring that your diet has enough protein is the best way to begin the journey of healthier, fuller and more beautiful hair!

Good choices and sources of protein can include:

  • lean chicken
  • turkey
  • eggs
  • low-fat dairy products
  • fish

Diets that don’t have enough protein can result in dry, brittle hair that falls out – so make sure your power up the protein!

2. Zinc It Through

Zinc is a mineral that many people are very deficient in and the sure-fire way to know if you don’t have enough zinc is that your hair is falling out.

Some great sources of zinc include:

  • Brazil nuts
  • Cashews
  • Almonds
  • Veggies
  • Fruits
  • Zinc supplement (check with your medical professional first)

So, what do you think of zinc?!

3. Oh-Oh-OMEGA

Yes, Omega oils are essential – for your hair and wellness that is.

Increasing your intake of Omega fatty acids may increase hair growth, follicle stimulation and regrowth, and can most definitely improve your scalp health too!

It’s easy now, in the world we live in, to find supplements and source of Omega’s – the best best for your wellness is to speak with your Doctor, and if it is recommended, a fish oil capsule is great – but nothing beats fresh, organic fish like salmon!

4. Proper Shampoo & Conditioner

CBD Shampoo and conditioners are one of the best ways to properly wash your hair without all of the confusing ingredients.

As soon as CBD is ingested, the chemicals and receptors basically kiss and create effects such as the reduction of inflammation on your scalp, improvement of dandruff, relief from eczema, and itchy flaky scalp. Yes, please!

Using a CBD Shampoo or Conditioner daily may dramatically reduce scalp inflammation, dandruff flakes and could create more healthy growth and glow for your mane in just a few washes.

Research has yet to fully conclude that CBD can enhance hair growth but considering its abundance in fatty acids, there’s potential for CBD to help hair grow and even reduce or eliminate flaky, itchy scalp!

5. Wash LESS & Impress

Yes, if you can, wash less. Using a proper Shampoo and Conditioner are essential for great hair, BUT don’t wash every day.

If you can manage it or train your hair, washing only 1-2 times weekly is very helpful.

This gives your hair the ability to produce the natural oils it needs to continue to remain nourished and healthy.

Shampooing too often can strip the hair of natural oils that it really and truly needs.

And, there are plenty of great dry shampoos on the market – so grab a few bottles for the ‘in-between’ and try not to wash!

6. Blow Drying is DRYING

Unless you have a Dyson hairdryer ( I have one, it’s amazing) you’ll need to be careful with the heat settings on your hairdryer.

If your hair can handle it, one of the best methods to ensure that you don’t overheat and damage your hair is to wash it at night and put a nice soft towel overtop of your pillow.

Sleep with wet or damp hair overnight, and then if needed, dry it in the morning and style it.

When your hair is hot, follicles are open and porous – meaning they can dry out. When they are closed, they can manage heat a lot better.
