What is 420 – How To Celebrate It

What is 420 – How To Celebrate It

If you love cannabis, you’ve likely heard of 420 – but if you’re new to the weed party, today we’re talking about What is 420 – How To Celebrate It!

420, quite simply put, is the day where tens of thousands of people all over the world gather to celebrate marijuana.

April 20th is a cherished day for pot smokers, edible eaters and cannabis connoisseurs – and what better reason to toke up with friends or safely at home with your partner, or alone?

In the past, pre-Covid, rallies would happen across North America supporting the push to legalize marijuana.

Now, with CBD legalization catching on like wildfire, things are most definitely moving forward in the right direction.

So let’s wrap our brains around all of the things we can do for 420!

Where Did 420 Come From?

So why April 20th you ask? Well there are a few possible explanations for why this happens- but the mystery is that it’s not traceable or accurate, so we’ll share with you some interesting speculation.

Apparently, this ritual is said to have began in the 1970’s – created by a group of high school students in California.

The would ritualistically smoke pot every day at 4:20pm.

Soon, this ritual spread and 420 became the secret code for smoking weed.

Another speculation or belief is that 420 was the California Police code for marijuana – but there really isn’t any evidence to support this idea.

Another interesting theory is that there are 420 active chemicals in marijuana, making this an obvious connection between weed and the number – which may prove to be close to the truth.

Whatever the history, once thing we do know? Celebrating Cannabis is SO MUCH FUN! And there are so many things you can do for 420.

Let’s explore some yummy and festive weed edible recipes, and celebratory ideas that will make your 420 spectacular!
