Keto Cannabis Breakfast Taco

Whether you’re relaxing at home on a Sunday morning or you’re on the go, today’s Keto Cannabis Breakfast Taco recipe is the best brekkie ever!

Made with keto-friendly ingredients, and yummy gooey cheese, cannabutter and your favourite fillings – who knew tacos for breakfast would be a ‘thing’?

For years I’ve struggled with eating and loving (and hating) bread. It’s the tastiest and easiest choice for lunches, snacks and on the go – but it doesn’t work with my body or my figure.

Maybe you can relate?

Today we’re making a super easy breakfast that can be eaten any time of day, to be honest, but it kicks carbs to the curb and leaves out the bread that you love to hate and hate to love.


What Ingredients Will I Need?

Simple, fresh and keto-friendly ingredients are the staples in this bud-breakfast recipe.

Here’s what you need:

  • Cannabis butter (recipe below)
  • Shredded cheese – your fav kind
  • Egg
  • Everything bagel seasoning
  • Real bacon bits
  • Cream cheese
  • Freshly minced garlic

How Do I Make Cannabis Butter?

This is the step NOT to skip! If you’re just a budding beginner, please make sure you follow the instructions below carefully.

I wish it was as simple as grinding up some weed and sprinkling it overtop of your food – but when marijuana is not decarbed, it doesn’t activate- meaning you get a sub-par edible that sucks.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 to 1/2 Ounce Cannabis 
  • 1 cup Butter

Instructions

  • Decarboxylate your weed by spreading your cannabis evenly on an oven tray And coat with aluminum foil.
  • Place in the oven on 240F/115C for 25 till 45 minutes, and then let it cool.
  • Grind your dry cannabis or chop it till fine.
  • Place the cannabis in a strong mason jar, add butter and (1 tsp of sunflower lecithin)(optional)
  • Place your closed jar in cold water and let it come to a boil, Boil for 2 to 3 hours.
  • Strain your butter through a cheesecloth.
  • Cool down
  • Now you can use the Cannabis Butter (Cannabutter)

Notes

If using a mason jar, be sure to start with cold water. Furthermore, it is imperative to let the water cool gradually so that your glass will not shatter.

Equipment

  • Non stick frying pan
  • Spatula
  • Cheese Grater
  • Whisk

Ingredients

  • 1 cup shredded cheese your choice
  • 1 Lg egg
  • 1/4 cup real bacon bits more if you like
  • 3 sticks cannabis butter
  • 1 dash salt & pepper each
  • 1 tbsp Everything bagel seasoning more if you like
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese or goat cheese sprinkled on top
  • 1 tsp freshly minced garlic more if you like it

Instructions

  • On a medium-hot setting, place cannabutter in a non-stick frying pan.
  • Once cannabutter is melted, sprinkle shredded cheese in pan, spreading it evenly around the bottom.
  • Working quickly, qrack an egg overtop of the cheese, and use a whisk to gently spread it overtop of the cheese. Next add salt, pepper, bagel seasoning, cream cheese or goat cheese, bacon and cook for a minute.
  • Using your spatula, flip on side of the cheese taco over to the other side, in half.
  • Flip once or twice if cheese isn't golden brown and cooked, or remove immediately from the pan and enjoy!
  • Srpinkle green onions or any other toppings you enjoy like mushrooms, spinach, etc.
