You’ll want to add just a bit of lettuce or arugula to add some freshness to the burger, but other than that – nothing ‘healthy’ here!

Beside the bison ground meat, you’ll need:

  • bacon strips
  • russet potato
  • red onion
  • buns
  • breadcrumbs
  • Montreal steak spice
  • arugula, spinach or lettuce garnish
  • whole grain mustard
  • mayo
  • white cheddar cheese
  • balsamic glaze
  • cannabutter

Ingredients

  • 1/4 to 1/2 Ounce Cannabis 
  • 1 cup Butter

Instructions

  • Decarboxylate your weed by spreading your cannabis evenly on an oven tray And coat with aluminum foil.
  • Place in the oven on 240F/115C for 25 till 45 minutes, and then let it cool.
  • Grind your dry cannabis or chop it till fine.
  • Place the cannabis in a strong mason jar, add butter and (1 tsp of sunflower lecithin)(optional)
  • Place your closed jar in cold water and let it come to a boil, Boil for 2 to 3 hours.
  • Strain your butter through a cheesecloth.
  • Cool down
  • Now you can use the Cannabis Butter (Cannabutter)

Notes

If using a mason jar, be sure to start with cold water. Furthermore, it is imperative to let the water cool gradually so that your glass will not shatter.

Is Bison Meat Dry?

Bison meat is lean, so it can sometimes get very dry if you don’t pay close attention. It’s very flavourful and a fantastic source of protein.

Just be sure that it’s cooked, but not over-cooked and you’ll be good.

Equipment

  • Cookie Sheets x 2
  • Parchment Paper
  • Frying Pan
  • Sharp knife
  • Cutting Board

Ingredients

  • 3-4 russet potatoes
  • 10 slices bacon
  • 1 lb ground bison beef
  • 2 whole buns halved
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1 whole red onion
  • 1 tbsp balsamic glaze
  • 1 tbsp montreal steak spice more if you like
  • 3-5 tbsp cannabutter for buns and dip
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 dash salt and pepper as needed
  • 3 tbsp mayo
  • 1 tbsp whole grain mustard
  • 1 handful lettuc, arugula or spinach as garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 450 f
  • Cut potatoes into wedges, place on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet, and sprinkle oil, and half the Montreal spice on top. Toss to coat. Bake for 25 minutes approx.
  • Cut bacon strips in half, line a cookie sheet with parchment paper, and bake for 10 minutes approx.
  • Cut onion into slices, add olive oil or cannabis oil, and cook onions for 4 minutes. Then add balsamic glaze and salt. Transfer to a bowl. Rince the pan clean.
  • In a mixing bowl, mix bison beef, breadcrumbs, remaining steak spice in a bowl and mix everything up with your rhands, creating two 4-inch patties. Pan fry about 3-5 minutes per side. Sprinkle cheese over top, cover and set aside.
  • Toast the buns with cannabutter in the oven. About 3-5 minutes. Keep an eye on them.
  • Add mayo and mustard in a bowl together, season with pepper. Layer carmalized onions, zesty mayo, burgers, arugula or lettuce, and serve with potato wedges. use cannabutter or zesty mayo for dipping and enjoy!
