What Are The Benefits Of Capsules?

Before making your capsules, it’s important to know that even though this may be a new method for you to enjoy cannabis, the same process in the body applies – much like edibles.

This simply means that you’ll receive a totally different high than if you were to smoke or vape.

The experience can vary from person to person, so we always recommend:

Does LOW & SLOW.

A More Potent High

Here’s the interesting and beautiful thing about digesting cannabis and the digestive system.

In many cases, it can result a much more powerful experience!

When consuming edibles, THC is absorved into the bloodstream and travels to the liver making it all work quite quickly in your body.

Will It Take Long To Get High?

Orally ingested cannabis takes a slower effect than smoking, vaping, etc. The typical onset for an edible to take effect can be anywhere from 30 minutes to 2-3 hours. Sometimes even longer.

That’s why the “Marijuana Mantra” is the most important – dosing low and slow, especially for beginners can really be instrumental in creating a positive cannabis experience.

What Are The Benefits Of Capsules?

  1. Convenient & Discrete – easy, little, pocket-size and easy to take anywhere with you!
  2. Odourless – doesn’t smell up your kitchen like making edibles might
  3. Easy To Swallow – for most people, capsules are easy to swallow
  4. Less Cannabis Taste – just in case you don’t like the taste of weed, capsules are a great solution to that while still enjoying all of the benefits.

Do I Need To Decarb My Weed?

Yes, 100% yes. If you want the benefits of the activated THC and CBD, the slower must be heated in your preferred decarboxylation method.

When you decarb, it’s the process that converts THCa into THC, and CBDa into CBD.

The goal of decarbing is to heat the slower at a low temp to allow the decarboxylation to happen without burning or overheating the cannabis.

You also donot want to wreck the terpenes – another beneficial component of the cannabis flower.

You can decarb two ways, and both are included below:

How To Decarb Using The Oven

Decarbing Using An Instant Pot

Step 1: Place your cannabis in a mason jar, and add a lid – keep it tight but not too tight. You don’t need to grind it first, just break it up into smaller-sized pieces.

  • Place the jar in the trivet or steamer basket.
  • Put the trivet or basket with mason jar inside, into the instant pot.
  • Add 4 cups of water to the instant pot.
  • Set the instant pot to cook on high pressure for 40 minutes if you’re using THC, or 90 minutes for CBD flower.
  • Keep the seal tight, don’t allow any steam or pressure to come out.
