What You’ll Need

Here’s where it can get fun, sometimes pricey, but absolutely worth it.

You’ll need to bring this to the grocery store, and just start piling your cart full of these ingredients.

Preparation is key – and because we’re using weed edibles like cannabis butter and cannabis oil, you’ll need to make sure you have weed to decarb, and butter as well as your favorite oil at the ready.

Your Shopping List:

  • hamburgers or slider patties – vegan, Angus, tofu – mix it all up!
  • Havarti, gouda, mozzarella – cheese slices galore – grab a bunch.
  • hamburger or slider buns – go for the artisanal ones, or grab some croissants
  • lettuce, cilantro, arugula -any greens you dig.
  • tomato, red onion and jalapeños slices
  • avocados
  • pickles, ketchup, mustard, mayo, relish, hot sauces, aiolis and BBQ sauce
  • potato chips
  • pick up a pre-made macaroni salad or potato salad – or both!

Next up, we’re going to make fantastic garlic cannabis butter that can be used to spread on your burgers.

You’ll need to decarb your weed first, and then prepare the cannabis butter below.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 to 1/2 Ounce Cannabis 
  • 1 cup Butter

Instructions

  • Decarboxylate your weed by spreading your cannabis evenly on an oven tray And coat with aluminum foil.
  • Place in the oven on 240F/115C for 25 till 45 minutes, and then let it cool.
  • Grind your dry cannabis or chop it till fine.
  • Place the cannabis in a strong mason jar, add butter and (1 tsp of sunflower lecithin)(optional)
  • Place your closed jar in cold water and let it come to a boil, Boil for 2 to 3 hours.
  • Strain your butter through a cheesecloth.
  • Cool down
  • Now you can use the Cannabis Butter (Cannabutter)

Notes

If using a mason jar, be sure to start with cold water. Furthermore, it is imperative to let the water cool gradually so that your glass will not shatter.

Garlic Cannabis Butter

Once you’ve whipped up a batch of cannabis butter, this part is easy!

Ingredients:

  1. 1 cup of cannabis butter – room temperature, not melted.
  2. 1-2 tbsp freshly minced garlic

Instructions:

Mix together in a small bowl, and slather all over your burgers!

Charcuterie Boards

You can most definitely use a large charcuterie board to place all of your yummy ingredients on.

I’ve also seen people wrap tin foil across an entire bar, and place ingredients right on top of that. Easy cleanup, no fuss no muss.

  • 1 Tablespoon Cannabis Oil
  • 2 Avocado’s, Peeled And Pitted
  • 1 cup Chopped Tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Onion
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Cilantro
  • 2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
  • 1 Jalapeno Pepper, Seeded, Minced (Optional)
  • Salt And ground Black Pepper To Taste

  • Mash avocados in a bowl until creamy.

Epic Summer Burger Board With Weed Edibles

To create and craft your board board, you’ll want to make sure that you:

  1. Have all of your veggies sliced, cheese sliced, and anything else ready to assemble.
  2. Grab the burger patties to throw on the BBQ, or grill – but this is the very last step.
  3. Got all of your cannabis dips and guacamole prepared
  4. Ensure that you have small dishes, bowls, spoons, for all of the condiments.
  5. Have a charcuterie board or plenty of tin foil, ready to go!

Assembling Your Burger Board

Why not create a massive board with all of your condiments, and then give everyone a smaller charcuterie board as their ‘plate’?!

It’s pretty easy to assemble your board – and you’ll want to be sure that the very last thing you include and place on the board is the burgers so that they stay hot and fresh.

Everything else, for the most part, will be cold – so you want to plate those first.

I like to prepare all of my small bowls with dips and condiments first, make sure I label everything – and this goes for edibles for sure, because not everyone you’ve invited wants to get high at lunch or dinner.

This is what is called responsible stoner-ship!

Next, I use what I call the ‘rainbow method’ – I try grouping all of my similar colours in one section – regardless of what they are.

For example: tomatoes, ketchup, and red onion slices go in one section. Then guacamole, relish, pickles, and jalapenos – in another.

I also like to make sure that I have levels that look appetizing, and by this I mean I’ll do my best to have a bowl of dip or sauce in every little section, with some sliced veggies and cheeses, fanned out around it.

Have fun, be creative and leave space for your burgers either on one side, or smack dab in the middle – totally up to you!

Then – when everything is ready and all you need to do is grill those burgers, you’re going to be able to eat and enjoy in just a few minutes!

If you like to toast your buns, you’ll want to save this until the very last minute too. I normally place my buns on the grill for about 1 minute per side.

Ingredients

  • 2 Tablespoon Cannabis Butter
  • 1 teaspoon mustard (regular or Dijon)
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • One small onion, finely grated
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 lb medium ground beef
  • Cheese slices for topping

Instructions

  • Lightly oil grill& Heat BBQ to medium.
  • Whisk egg in a bowl& add all ingredients.
  • Crumble in beef& using your hands or a fork, gently mix together., Handle the meat as little as possible – the more you work it, the tougher it gets., Gently shape (don’t firmly press) mixture into burgers about ¾ inch thick.
  • Place burgers on the grill, close lid& BBQ until NO LONGER PINK INSIDE, turning once, about 6 – 8 minutes per side.Top with cheese
  • Tuck into a warm crusty bun& add your favorite toppings.
