It sounds a little strange, but it tastes incredible, and it’s pretty easy to make.

You may even want to slip your MIL a nibble or two? Always be careful though and notify any guests of edibles – but sometimes just thinking about it is rewarding enough.

Ingredients You’ll Need:

  • Sugar cookie dough (Pillsbury)
  • Cream cheese
  • Cannabutter
  • Powdered sugar
  • Vanilla
  • Salt
  • An assortment of your favourite fresh fruits

How Do I Make Cannabutter?

The secret to success with cannabutter is making sure you decarb your weed before making it.

I really do wish it was as easy as grinding up cannabis and mixing it with butter.

The reality is, you won’t activate the THC if your weed is not decarboxylated- so NO skipping steps!

A recipe on how to make cannabis butter at home. After many cannabutter recipes, we find that this is by far the best way to infuse weed with butter.

  • 1/4 to 1/2 Ounce Cannabis 
  • 1 cup Butter


  • Decarboxylate your weed by spreading your cannabis evenly on an oven tray And coat with aluminum foil.
  • Place in the oven on 240F/115C for 25 till 45 minutes, and then let it cool.
  • Grind your dry cannabis or chop it till fine.
  • Place the cannabis in a strong mason jar, add butter and (1 tsp of sunflower lecithin)(optional)
  • Place your closed jar in cold water and let it come to a boil, Boil for 2 to 3 hours.
  • Strain your butter through a cheesecloth.
  • Cool down
  • Now you can use the Cannabis Butter (Cannabutter)



If using a mason jar, be sure to start with cold water. Furthermore, it is imperative to let the water cool gradually so that your glass will not shatter.

Just in time for Easter, but you can enjoy this dessert all year long.

Layer your fruit in a beautiful pattern on top of your sugar cookie dough and gobble up your creation!

Sweet, Refreshing and made with velvety-smooth cannabis butter. Yum!

  • Cookie Sheet
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Sharp knife
  • Cutting Board

  • 1 pkg sugar cookies Pillsbury is great
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 6 tbsp cannabutter softened
  • 2 cups confectioners sugar/icing sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 dash salt
  • 1-2 cups assorted fresh berries


  • Prepare sugar cookie dough according to package or recipe directions.Roll dough to about ¼ inch thick and cut out egg shaped cookies.Bake according to package or recipe directions.Remove from the oven and allow to cool. Move to a cooling rack to cool completely
  • For the Frosting:
    Place the cream cheese and cannabutter in a large bowl and mix with an electric mixer until light and fluffy.Add vanilla, a pinch of salt, and then add in powdered sugar gradually, mixing after each addition until it is all incorporated.
    Chop berries and fruit into small pieces.Frost each cookie with a thick layer of frosting.Decorate with chopped fruit and berries.
    Serve immediately.Enjoy!
