Chickpea & Cannabis Chocolate Truffles

It might sound a little far fetched, but trust me when I say these Chickpea & Cannabis Chocolate Truffles are incredible!

With just a few simple ingredients, you can create these truffles and enjoy a snack without all of the guilt.

The number one item you’ll need, of course, is cannabis butter!

And if you haven’t had the pleasure of making it before, it does require a few steps.

But, I can assure you, once you have a big batch whipped up, you can put it into ice cube trays, cover it up, and freeze it for easy use anytime the mood strikes!

The first step is decarboxylate your cannabis, and it’s not as daunting as it sounds!

Here Is How To Decarb Weed

Check out our YouTube instructional video on how to properly decarb weed.

Please don’t skip this step – it’s the difference between GREAT cannabis edibles and a balanced high, or horrible ones with a horrible high.

Next up, once you’ve decarbed your weed, we will need to make the actual cannabis butter!

Label your cannabutter properly, with the date, so there is no mix-ups, and so that you can pull the properly dated butter first to keep it long-lasting and fresh!

Equipment

  • Food Processor
  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper
  • Small sauce pan & whisk
  • Spoon for scooping and making little balls

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup plus 1 tbsp canned chickpeas
  • 1/2 cup cashew butter
  • 2 tbsp cannabutter
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp sweetener of your choice
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup bittersweet chocolate chips- dark

Instructions

  • Combine the oats and chickpeas in the bowl of a food processor and pulse until they are in small pieces. Add the cashew butter, maple syrup, cannabuter, and salt and process until it forms a smooth ball. Taste it to see if it’s sweet enough. If you want it sweeter, add sweetener and process until combined.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Use a tablespoon to scoop level spoonfuls and then use your hands to roll the filling into a ball. Repeat with the rest of the filling. Place the baking sheet in the freezer and freeze for 1 hour.
  • Melt the chocolate chips in a small pot on low heat. One by one, drop one of the balls into the chocolate and use a spoon to completely cover it with chocolate, scoop it out and place back on the baking sheet. Let it cool at room temp for 5 minutes or more and enjoy!
  • Store in the fridge, covered!
