Blooming Apple With Cannabis Caramel Sauce

You may have heard of blooming onions, but I bet you haven’t heard of the delicious: Blooming Apple With Cannabis Caramel Sauce!

All I can say is OMG.

It’s so incredibly yummy, and when you dip your blooming apple into cannabis caramel sauce? Tastebud heaven!

What exactly is a blooming apple?

It’s an oven-baked apple, but the magic is in the way you slice it up. It’s designed to look like a flower blossom with its petals just opening a bit.

Then, once baked, you can easily peel off apple slices that are coated in sweetness, and dip them into cannabis caramel sauce. Mmmm!

Much like a blooming onion, it’s all about the preparation. The eating portion of this recipe is just the best.

What Apple Is The Best?

Here’s the debate: green apples are tart, but make a beautiful flavour profile when combined with sweet caramel sauce.

On the other hand, a red delicious or any red apple you love tastes just as delicious.

This is where you’re going to have to choose. Because I love all things tart, I used green apples for today’s recipe.

  • cannabis butter

  • granulated sugar

That’s it!

The Blooming Apple Recipe

When cutting your apple, you’ll first slice the top off (think pumpkin carving) and then core the apple.

From the top of the apple and downward, cut slices but don’t cut all the way through. This creates the open-look bloom that we are going for.

Enjoy!
