Banana & Peanut Butter French Toast with Cannabutter
It might sound strange to some, but when you take your first bite of Banana & Peanut Butter French Toast with Cannabutter, you’ll never look back again!
This is a sweet spin on a traditional grilled cheese sandwich.
Just think of grilled cheese marrying french toast with banana and peanut butter.
The peanut butter melts all over, and the french toast soaks it in.
It’s enough to make me stop writing right now and make another! (yes, another!)
Plus, when you add cannabutter to this edibles dish, you’re going to thank me later – nothing will taste and feel better than this!
You can enjoy this as a treat, for a bud-breakfast, or as a meal in itself if you like.
Decarboxylate your weed by spreading your cannabis evenly on an oven tray And coat with aluminum foil.
Place in the oven on 240F/115C for 25 till 45 minutes, and then let it cool.
Grind your dry cannabis or chop it till fine.
Place the cannabis in a strong mason jar, add butter and (1 tsp of sunflower lecithin)(optional)
Place your closed jar in cold water and let it come to a boil, Boil for 2 to 3 hours.
Strain your butter through a cheesecloth.
Cool down
Now you can use the Cannabis Butter (Cannabutter)

Notes
If using a mason jar, be sure to start with cold water. Furthermore, it is imperative to let the water cool gradually so that your glass will not shatter. The video guide might be slightly different than the blog recipe. The blog recipe is the most updated and accurate.
I like to store my weed butter in the freezer or the fridge in individual portions. It makes everything easier for me – and I firmly believe that that is the ticket for creating weed edibles: simplicity!
Full disclosure: I stopped writing for 10 minutes to make another Banana & Peanut Butter French Toast with Cannabutter!! YUMMM!
So there’s two ways you can make this tasty weed treat:
Use your favorite kind of bread and grill it in the pan like you would a grilled cheese – without the French toast part
Make this an even more savoury sandwich by dipping your fresh and fav bread into an egg and milk wash, and creating a masterpiece!
Whichever way you choose, you’re going to love it!
Caramel Cannabis Dip
If you want to get SUPER fancy – add an infused caramel dip for this -you’ll thank me later.
Homemade cannabis-infused caramel sauce is so much better than store bought. It’s ooey-gooey goodness that you don't want to miss!
In a heavy bottom saucepan, heat water over medium heat. Stir in the sugar, and melt until dissolved.
Increase heat, bring to a boil and stop stirring. The mixture should should turn amber in color.
Remove from heat slowly whisk in the heavy cream. The mixture will bubble up, so be cautious it’s very hot. Add the Canna-Butter, vanilla, and salt together and mix well.
Pour caramel sauce into a container with tight lid and refrigerate.
So by now, if you’re still reading this far you’re totally in, and ready to get baked.
Here’s my no-fail recipe for making french toast and the recipe to follow.
Cannabutter French Toast
Combine 1 egg, and about a 1/4 cup of milk to a bowl and whisk until smooth.
Add in a splash of real vanilla extract and a dash or two of cinnamon.
Heat up a non-stick frying pan on high to start, and add in a stick (about a tbsp or two) of cannabis butter
Dip your bread into the mix gently, but quickly on both sides.
The butter should be melted, and then you can turn down the heat to about medium.
Place the bread into the pan, and once it’s nicely golden-brown, flip and do the same on the other side. Spend 1-2 minutes per side – just so that the egg is cooked into the bread.
Set these aside and cover for a few minutes while you make the recipe below. You’ll need the french toast again, so keep it handy!
Banana & Peanut Butter French Toast with Cannabutter
Savoury snack with cannabis butter, peanut butter, bananas and french toast!
3-5tbsppeanut butteror any nut butter of your choice
Instructions
Cut the banana up into wheels – about 1/2 inch thick or less.
Spread your peanut butter onto each slice and place your banana wheels onto one side.
Slap the sandwich shut, and heat up the frying pan on the stove.
NOTE: If you've already pre cooked french toast, you'll use that instead of bread.
Melt your cannabis butter in the frying pan, on high.
Place your sandwich into the frying pan, and turn down the heat to medium.
This will cook quickly – especially if you're using pre-cooked french toast – so you want to check it often, and flip it when the peanut butter is melted which should only take a minute or so.
Remove from the pan, and spread a little more cannabis butter on top. Cut into triangles and savour!!
