Rick Simpson oil is a full extraction cannabis oil (FECO). Rick Simpson is a proponent of medical marijuana. This Canadian born medical marijuana pioneer advocates for the acceptance of cannabis treatments in western medicine. FECOs are most commonly used by patients to treat severe health conditions. Rick Simpson Oil contains high levels of THC lending to its popularity in the medical marijuana community.
Fecos (like RSO) require the use of a solvent. In addition, the creation of FECO is very different than a standard cooking oil infusion. More importantly, check out this recipe to discover this unique process in detail. Follow our step-by-step recipe to create your very own medical cannabis oil.
RSO is known for its high THC potency. Our recipe for cannabis infused candy requires a very small amount of THC distillate. It is incredibly important to carefully dose FECO containing recipes. Potential for error or an uncomfortable high is possible with improper dosing of RSO hard candies.
Remember, edibles do not kick in as fast as smoking or vaping cannabis. Interestingly, your body needs to metabolize this food. In other words, this occurs through a very different process than inhalation. In turn, it is important to be conservative in dosing and consuming these weed treats. Therefore, this is important to consider when consuming your RSO Hard Candies.
If your schedule does not allow you to make RSO, you can infuse your cannabis candy with coconut cannabis oil. Check out this recipe for canna-coconut oil to switch things up!

How many of the candies can you make as per this recipe
I love these candies. So easy to make and help lots with pain relief. Can anyone tell me how long they keep for please, as I’d prefer to batch cook so I’m ready for the not so good days.
Thanks
What do you do with the bowl of ice water?
That was my question also!! Lol
To check what stage the candy is at, drop a lil ball in to test how the crack level will be after it sets
The ice water is for testing the candy to make sure it’s cooked long enough to make hard candy.
So how ?, with out Lecithin ?, do you prevent the RSO oils from operating and weeping out of the candies ??
Separating not operating I hate auto incorrect ….
I am going to try it with the lecithin. In my experience all the recipes come out better if you use just one half tsp of lecithin warmed then mix your RSO in and then add it to the rest.
Do you need to decarboxylate the rso before you use if so how do you recommend
You don’t need to decarb rso because it is already active. You would decard dabs before adding it in if you were to use dabs instead of rso
No RSO is activated, don’t decarb it
RSOs are great to cook with because they are already active and have the least “weed like” flavor. I use them to make all my edibles., cupcakes, rice crispie treats, cookies. You just have to figure out how much THC you want per serving.
RSO by definition is already decarboxylate, so no.
