You may think it’s ‘pot-sitively’ challenging to cook with Cannabis, but it’s not! It can be so rewarding and fun exploring recipes and creating cannabis dishes at home.
You don’t need much more than your basic kitchen essentials—plus a good dispensary or a good dealer—to cook with weed.
So in addition to the usual pots, pans, cutlery and bowls…
Sometimes things get a little messy in the Cannabis kitchen and cooking with weed is no exception! Keep your clothes clean and fresh while wearing this fantastic apron!
If you’re dreaming of Cannabis Gummy Bears and weed-treats that are sweet, Gummy Molds are the perfect pairing to your roster of Cannabis Kitchen supplies. Silicone, safe and non-slip so your gummies will pop right out and jump into your mouth!
This is a simple addition to the cannabis kitchen to create weed edibles with way more confidence and much less mess. Using proper spatulas and kitchen utensils make a weed-world of a difference.
Canning jars are essential for using the jar method when infusing. Easy, and accessible just about anywhere, the size you need depends on what you are infusing. We suggest keeping a bunch of different jars with lids in your pantry.
You’ll definitely need cheesecloth for straining your cannabis out of finished infusions. Natural and easy to use, this is essential in the Cannabis Kitchen. If you haven’t used it before – it doesn’t smell or is made from cheese!
Measurement with marijuana is key. You want to be sure that you are dosing properly and the scale says it all! When choosing a scale check into the accuracy and make sure that it can measure precisely – right down to the milligram.
Cannabis infusions need a ton of special attention to temperature throughout the process. Having an instant-read thermometer is definitely the gift that keeps on getting you high.
Having mesh strainers on hand in a variety of sizes is a good ganja idea! It will allow you to work at any scale, and is a quick and easy way to strain your weed properly and easily.
A fine-rasp grater is great for grating tiny bits of hash or flower over finished dishes. It is also helpful when working with compressed chunks of hash.
If you’re cooking with weed a lot or need to grind up larger quantities that would overflow in a simple grinder, a coffee grinder is very helpful. Just make sure you set this aside and dedicate to Cannabis only so you don’t have any surprises in your morning coffee!
Grinders look similar to big hockey pucks and are made of metal, wood or plastic. They have an interior lined with spikes. The herb is placed inside the grinder and the top and bottom are turned back and forth between your hands until the herb is all ground up.
You can use a herb grinder for cooking purposes, too, especially for small-scale applications where a bigger grinder isn’t needed.
Parchment Paper is pot-perfection. Super useful for storing sticky cannabis oils, parchment paper also has a variety of uses in a cannabis kitchen, from lining pans for baking cookies to pressing rosin. Nothing sticks to this stuff which is why it’s an essential in the Cannabis Kitchen.
Nothing clings to silicone, so we suggest purchasing a variety of sizes of silicone baking mats. These mats help keep surfaces free of difficult-to-clean oil stains but also make it easy to handle some of the more-tacky consistencies. Food and dishwasher safe – easy to store and barely takes up any room. It’s a top choice for Canna Chefs!
For loyal and dedicated Cannabis Chefs only! Want to step it up and become a connoisseur? A decarbing machine is a top of the line piece of equipment that makes life so much easier when baking to get baked!
